Introducing Castle Characters and a Castle Build April 30 2026

We know castles are some of your favorites, so we had some fun with our new Castle Characters with our regular castle blocks! To create this build, we used basic blocks found in the Beginner or Core Sets, the 18 pc Castle Booster and 4 X-blocks, found open stock or in the Advanced Expansion.

 One of our favorite techniques is to use our flat blocks as platforms, creating play space for open-ended play.

 Blocks Needed

2 – 4x2 Flats                                         1 – 2x2 Steps                                                 

4 - 2x2 X-Blocks                                    2 - 2x1 Flat Castle Walls

4 – 2x1 Pillars                                        2 - 4x2 Castle Towers

2 – 4x1 Flat Castle Wall                         1 - Castle Gate

2 – 2x2 Squares                                     Castle Characters and Blocks to decorate –                                                                                                                                                  we chose a straight path and spring pieces!

1.      Place the 2x2 steps in the center. Put 2 X-blocks on each side.

2.      Position 2 2x1 pillars behind the X-blocks and lay a 4x2 flat on top of the X- blocks. Leave space in front to place the 4x1 Flat Castle Wall. Repeat on the other side.

3.      Put the 2x2 block close to the castle wall. Top with a 2x1 Flat Castle Wall. Repeat on the other side.

4.      Add a Castle tower and place it at the rear of the 4x2 Flat. Repeat on the other side.

5.      Decorate with your favorite seasonal pieces! We chose a cobblestone path, and Spring Flower Garden. You can also use grass, rose gardens, bushes, or skip seasonal pieces and just start playing!
