Craftsmanship & finishing
- Everwood Friends® blocks are precision crafted in Minnesota of domestic hard maple.
- Hard maple is the perfect wood for toys given its high density, hardness, and tight grain that reduces splinters. You will love the weight of these blocks!
- All surfaces are rounded for safety and sanded for a beautifully smooth feel.
- Our blocks are not painted or stained for a natural beauty and durability.
- No choking hazards. Third-party lab tested for safety and certified CPSC compliant. Recommended ages 18 months+.
Shapes
- Designed with extended play time at home in mind, our mix of large and small, special and basic shapes helps children spend more time creatively building more complex, detailed structures.
- Everwood Friends® blocks come in dozens of versatile shapes and sizes like cubes, blocks, pillars, flats, arches, ramps, triangles, and more. You will not find many of these shapes in other building block sets!
- Every shape and edge is based on a precise 1-3/8" unit, the same as standard kindergarten blocks you remember. This means every block, in every orientation, will simply line up with all the other blocks no matter how tall or wide a structure is.
- Our building platforms add a whole new level of fun and creativity to our sets. Builders can use the platforms to build on thick carpet, move their structures, or to add floors and roofs to their structures.
A Learning Experience
- Large wooden blocks are excellent for teaching hand-eye coordination, balance, spatial reasoning, and fine motor skills.
- Allow your child to play creatively, combining their blocks with other popular toys or their own imaginative games.
- Blocks are a great social toy - the more kids (or grown kids!) building together the more fun.
Very rarely have I been this excited to write a review. The two sets of blocks I ordered from Everwood Friends are hands down my favorite purchase of 2025. My (grown) kids’ Dad and I decided to go big and each order an advanced set of blocks for our 2 and 4- year old grandkids so they’d have tons of options for building and creating. Our own kids had a very nice sturdy set of blocks when they were kids and they loved playing with them. Everwood Friends has taken this basic play form and elevated it. Not only does the advanced set contain every possible shape you could think of to build with, but just handling the blocks is such a happy experience. The blocks have this really nice satin finish that makes them a pleasure to hold and handle. They were delivered beautifully packaged, with a personal handwritten note, and an “irregular” block in each set that had been included and topped with a shiny jewel - can you imagine how happy our two littles were to get these special “castoffs?!” From beginning to end, from order to delivery and presentation - this purchase was a joy. We plan on recommending to everyone we know! Thanks, Everwood Friends, for adding all the special touches.
Exquisite, heirloom-quality blocks. Really couldnt be happier.
5 stars
These are really nice blocks! We are happy with the variety in the set.
We were looking for the highest quality blocks for our very busy builders, and that is just what we found. Beautiful construction, perfect, smooth texture, and great shapes. I see more in our future.
I am so impressed with these blocks! They are now wrapped and under the tree! They are high quality and I know they will last for a long time. My kids will get so much use out of them. Thank you for including a couple "seconds" pieces as well! What a wonderful surprise! Great business, quick shipping! Would highly recommend!!!
Blown away by the quality of these blocks. Absolutely beautiful!
Very good quality. Hard wood, smooth finish, smooth transaction. My only complaint is that the blocks don't scale very well with each other, so it's hard to use different sizes to build a house, etc, like you can with legos or something. Having a hard time describing what I'm saying, but basically if you build up the walls, you can't overlap the corners very easily, so it would fall over easily. The blocks themselves though are very good quality and the seller was easy to work with.
Amazing quality, well packed, huge set - actually a combination of three sets: 61 piece core set, 37 piece deluxe expansion, and 35 piece advanced expansion sets. Provides excellent unit basis for building varied complex proportional and stable structures. Large scale means they are easy to manipulate and balance and integrate easily with other toys for imaginative play (triangles become ramps for cars, for instance). Heirloom quality, beautiful hand feel, I think us adults like them just as much as the intended recipient.
No sharp or pointy edges. Silky smooth to the touch. We buy so much mass produced junk for kids these days... the exceptionally good quality was almost a shock.
I will only purchase Everwood friends blocks from now on. They’re absolutely perfect, solid, smooth, no rough edges at all. I recently purchased a few pieces from another well known company who makes solid maple blocks, they’re not nearly as smooth and lovely (and were more expensive to boot!)
Great quality and arrived super fast. Kids love them and I would absolutely recommend them.
One of the BEST purchases Ive ever made. My kids have had these for a few weeks and have played with them for hours every day. This has been the most incredible creative outlet for them, and theyre so excited and proud to share their structures. The blocks are solid, smooth and truly heirloom quality. The owners are beyond amazing, as well. I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a quality gift thats sure to provide a lifetime of fun!
These blocks are so beautiful! At first I was hesitant to buy since it seemed like a big investment, but they are extremely well made and perfect for play. Worth every penny and more. Shipping was also fast. Will definitely buy from them again in the future.
These are very exceptional quality! My son loves them thank you!!!
These blocks are beautiful -- hefty, precisely made, and smooth. They arrived quickly. Our 13 month old loves them (although he's more into destroying than building at this point). Thanks!
